Now that we've finally transferred the latest photos from the camera, I thought I'd add a couple shots from last Monday, the anniversary of our American wedding:
I finally made Philipp's favorite cake, my Mom's famous almond cake that she makes each time we return to the States. She gave me the recipe last August, but this was the first time I got around to making it. I found that my cake pan was alittle too small, though. As the cake baked, it puffed up and I was afraid it would overflow. So I spooned some of the batter into little cookie forms. They're yummy, too. Mmmmm ... thanks, Mom!!
